Importing from Excel

This feature allows you to import information from an Excel file (previously exported from Engineering Data Manager) used to edit bulk tags.

  1. Open Tag Browser.
  2. Click Import from Excel - Bulk tag edit ( ).
    The Select an Excel File to Import dialog appears.
  3. Do one of the following:

    Click Select file and then browse to select the Excel file that you want to import, and then click Open.

    or

    Drag and drop an Excel file onto the dialog.

    The Excel file is imported into PlantSight for OpenPlant. Changes are moved to the Unsaved Changes node in the iModel tree. For example,
  4. Click the Save icon ( ) to save the changes.
